The mission of the Center for Distance Learning (CDL) is to provide City Colleges of Chicago students with an alternative to the physical classroom as the sole means of attaining college credit and professional development.
CDL is dedicated to providing a learner-centered environment that offers the highest quality educational opportunities for the development of knowledge, skills, and aptitudes necessary for personal growth and positive social change.
CDL works continually to use technological solutions that overcome the specific barriers of distance, mobility, and time so that students can achieve their educational goals.
